Founded in Austin, TX, we are a growing company committed to building stronger communities by strengthening their financial institutions. As a team member, you will be on the ground floor of a new product that is growing quickly after a successful proof of concept and beta.This position is ideal for an experienced test engineer who is passionate about testing complex products requiring high scalability and reliability. You will provide leadership and bring a strong quality-focused background to the team, working to develop and improve test effectiveness and efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with Data Engineering team to define test strategy and approach for automated and manual testing.Design and build test automation that is resilient and robustCreate, manage, execute, and maintain automation test scriptsMentor and educate software engineers on test best practices and approachCreate comprehensive test plans alongside development which provide outstanding code coverage and that can be traced to use cases/storiesCreate test cases for features/functions; with detailed steps to perform and expected resultsExecute test cases, provide results, and create resulting defects with diagnostic information for proper triageParticipate in and contribute test effort estimates in Sprint/Release planning sessionsBe passionate about driving quality throughout the product lifecycleResponsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered toEXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field8+ years of specialized experience in testing Database - Reports, ETL, Data Warehouse and knowledge of:Test best practices, automation, test plans, and testing methodologyTest case management skillsExperience with one or more general-purpose programming or scripting languagesStrong SQL knowledge and experience Strong understanding of complex, enterprise architectureExperience in working in various layers of a complex application stack:Debugging complex applications issues through code review and log reviewStrong test plan organization and test execution planning skills in a CI and Agile environmentExcellent technical communication skills, problem solving aptitude, and out-of-the box thinkingExperience working in small, highly efficient teams with a high degree of collaboration prowessPassionate about the work, proactive work ethic, and highly motivated attitude to provide excellence in software qualityExperience with version control systems such as Git and associated branching strategiesExperience with tools like Snowflake Lakehouse and ThoughtspotExperience using Groovy or similar object-oriented programming languages.Experience in Selenium is preferredPython experience is plusKatalon experience a plusPREFERRED:Experience in the fintech industryExperience with SaaS highly desiredExperience in Azure also desiredHealth & WellnessHybrid & Remote Work Opportunities                                                                  Flexible Time OffCareer Development & Mentoring ProgramsGenerous Retirement Benefit Plans, including a company-matching HSA program.Health & Wellness Benefits, including a 12-weeks of parental leave for eligible new parentsCommunity Volunteering & Company Philanthropy ProgramsEmployee Peer Recognition Programs – “You Earned it”How We Give Back to the Community:You can learn more about our Q2 Spark Program, Q2 Philanthropy fund, and our employee volunteering programs on our Q2 Community page.
