Our team is growing and we’re looking for a Product Line Leader (PLL) to drive our SmartLife solutions. As the SmartLife PLL you will define, lead, and manage the execution of the product vision and strategy for Calix SmartLife solutions which broadband service providers (BSPs) use to deliver services on top of connectivity, bringing new revenue and value to end users. Together with your team you will deliver compelling solutions, building on partnerships, and owning development for Calix SmartLife solutions. This includes SmartLife solutions for residential customers such as Arlo, Bark, and Servify, in addition to SmartBiz for small businesses and SmartTown for communities.You will work closely with the PLL leadership team to build solutions and collaborate with the wider Calix Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success teams as we take them to customers, bringing value through solution adoption.Roles and Responsibilities:Work closely with the SmartLife core team consisting of product line manager, engineering, and QA & UX teams while managing a small team of PLL expertsJointly engage with the product line manager in customer discovery workshops and convert business requirements / use cases to epics and wireframes based on the ‘jobs-to-be-done’ concept.Deliver both exciting net new features as well as continuous improvements to SmartLife Solutions.Coordinate and synchronize on cross-cloud product initiatives and release-specific deliverables and work with the cloud platform product management and partner teams to collaborate on technology dependencies and accelerate roadmap delivery via build/partner plans.Drive the anchor / early customer adoption engagements while ensuring the rollout of high-quality release-specific content to the field.Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and program issues quickly and efficiently.Excite and motivate team members about their product vision to execute on features.Qualifications:Extensive product management experience; launched and scaled multiple SaaS products driving mass adoption.Solid understanding of value-added services and applications – especially experience working with solutions used for small business, education, and communitiesProven ability to build business models for the company, partnerships, and BSPsExperience collaborating with matrix and cross-functional teams in a fast paced and dynamic environment involving competing priorities.Strong written and oral communication skills that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Proven people leadership experience with the ability to act in a player/coach capacity when needed.Relating openly and comfortably with a diverse group of people.Experience working in agile and/or waterfall development methodologies.Proficient in at least one product management toolset (e.g. Atlassian Jira and Confluence).Experience working with cloud services industry is desirable.Location:Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada#LI-RemoteCompensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
