Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.Responsibilities and DutiesIn this role, you will lead our West Region consisting of multiple territories across our Tier 3 customers. You will be responsible for a team selling to new and established Calix customers while engaging with cross-functional teams to continue to break new ground in next-generation business applications for Broadband Service Providers. Primarily, you will be responsible for ensuring that your team has all the tools necessary to deliver on the ambitious business goals Calix has set for them.You will manage the day-to-day and week-to-week operations of the sales team, ensuring sales best practices are brought to bear to support high velocity, and high quality, sales performance. You will also bring your sales leadership experience to the team as you coach, develop and support their growth as sales professionals.Qualifications:5+ years of sales management experienceTrack record of leading teams who over-achieve quota (top 10-20% of company) in past positionsUnderstanding of Broadband Service Provider business is an assetDevelop sales plans and strategies for assigned territories and influence the strategy aligned with the business objectives of our customers and prospectsPartner closely with the larger field sales teams coordinating for territory coverage, workload management and shared quota attainmentWork closely with company leadership to select, evaluate, and recruit new sales talentLead a team of virtual Sales Representatives in prospecting and demand generation through both out-bound and in-bound campaignsExperience managing and closing complex sales-cycles, demonstrating ownership of all aspects of territory managementCoach, recognize sales representatives to success with appropriate KPIs and accountability Candidates must be competitive, cooperative, collaborative and work well with customers both internal and externalStrong computer skills, including salesforce.com, Outreach, Gong and Microsoft Office an assetTravel expectations: 20%Desired Experience:Experience in managing or selling into Broadband Service ProvidersPrevious Sales Methodology training, CRM experience, and strong customer references preferredExperience as Inside or Virtual Sales Management highly desiredDemonstrated ability to manage through change, deal with ambiguity and collaborate across teamsPossess a positive attitude and have an aggressive desire for resultsSuperior interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to coach team to progress sales by phone, email, or video.Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles and ownership of all aspects of territory managementEducation, Certifications and Professional LicensesBachelor and/or master’s degree in a Business, Commerce, or STEAM strongly preferred#LI-RemoteCompensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
