We are looking for a versatile software engineering intern to assist development of our autonomous vehicle software applications. Intelligent machines powered by Artificial Intelligence computers that can learn, reason and interact with people are no longer science fiction. Today, a self-driving car powered by AI can meander through a country road at night and find its way. An AI-powered robot can learn motor skills through trial and error — this is truly an extraordinary time and the era of AI has begun.Our team builds the NVIDIA autonomous driving software stack and is contributing to the architecture, integration and optimization of all the components and algorithms into a performant system that runs in the vehicle as well as the cloud. We are seeking software interns with interests in designing, developing and testing the applications, tools and infrastructure powering next-generation vehicles. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering teams creating the future of autonomous vehicles.What you will be doing:Developing application software in C and C++ performing critical functions of the vehicleImplementing validation software to ensure testability and quality of the softwareLearning software constructs for developing highly-reliable software suitable for the automotive environmentImproving end-to-end infrastructure to help logging, debuggability, observability and traceability of the systemWhat we need to see:Pursuing BS or MS in computer engineering, computer science or related engineering fields (or equivalent experience)Excellent Python, C, and C++ programming skillsGreat communication, teamwork and analytical skillsSelf-motivated and an enthusiastic teammateWays to stand out from the crowd:Understanding of embedded systems software and operating systems conceptsKnowledge of automotive systems, operating systems schedulers or graph theoryExperience working with, or implementing, software libraries or SDKsNVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
