NVentures is NVIDIA’s venture investing team. Our mission is to invest in category-defining technology start-ups that generate both strong financial returns and unique strategic value for NVIDIA. We partner with companies who have achieved product-market fit solving hard problems in areas relevant to NVIDIA -- including ML applications and infrastructure, computational biology and robotics! We are looking for a highly motivated Portfolio Director to join our small, foundational team to positively influence the trajectories of our portfolio companies by connecting them to NVIDIA resources and expertise – and also to external resources where relevant. You will proactively find opportunities to support NVentures portfolio companies through product, GTM partnerships and other efforts. As the connective tissue between founders and NVIDIA, we expect you to build these bridges with integrity, humility, hustle, and a commitment to excellence.Note: this is NOT an investment role, nor does it necessarily lead to one. However, you will be exposed to the investment process as a member of the broader NVentures team and will have a chance to participate in various internal investment-related discussions and processes.What you’ll be doing:Working directly with portfolio companies to identify their needs and scope meaningful NVIDIA engagement opportunitiesConnecting portfolio companies with NVIDIA resources, managing engagement at the program level, and delivering measurable impactExploring ways outside of NVIDIA to help portfolio companies be successful such as customer acquisitions, senior hiring etcDeveloping program offerings for NVentures’ portfolio that are recognized as differentiated and valuable by portfolio companiesDeveloping and tracking KPIs to measure the impact NVIDIA is having across the portfolioCommunicating and presenting to executive managementAssisting from time to time in technical diligence, in conjunction with other NVIDIA technical resourcesWhat we need to see:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience5+ years of combined experience (work/research). Advanced degrees are a plusFluency with NVIDIA’s tech platform, product offerings and organizational structureBroad and deep network within NVIDIAPassion for working with, problems solving for and scaling start-upsAbility to build trusted relationships with startup teamsWays to stand out from the crowd:Prior experience working at or with startups with a strong network across the ecosystemSuperior work referencesComfort being in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; having an entrepreneurial mentalityEvidence of prior contributions to processes, structure and culture on teamsAbility to form deep relationships and work with all key company segmentsNVIDIA is widely considered one of the technology world’s most desirable employers!
