MTS 1, Information Security Engineer

eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Information Security Engineer in Austin, TXJob Duties: Partner with Information Security Analysts, Product Managers, Information Security and Quality Engineers to perform software vulnerability assessments and penetration testing/ethical hacking for eBay's information security. Perform, review, and analyze security vulnerability data to identify applicability and false positives. Research and develop software security tools, techniques, automation, and process improvements. Work on integrating development/Quality tools for eBay's security software and processes. Create risk-based security code reviews (static and dynamic). Conduct penetration testing in line with Open Web application Security project standards. Publish security reports and test results in line with scanners and test cases to stakeholders. Organize and execute regression audits for software applications. Guide development teams on vulnerability remediation with sample code snippets.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of information security analytics or electrical/software engineering.Special Skill Requirements: 1)    Programming systems such as Java, Perl, Python;2)    NodeJS; 3)    Rest API;4)    Security tools like AppScan, Cenzic, WebInspect, and Paros; 5)    Application Security concepts (Web application, OWASP top 10 Security Vulnerabilities);6)    Eclipse, Maven, Git; 7)    Apache Tomcat. Experience can be gained through coursework, scholastic achievement or work experience. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.  Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
