eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 2, Software Engineer in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Define, design, and implement highly scalable, resilient and performant distributed software systems. Work with other engineers, managers, product management, quality analysts, and operations teams to develop innovative technical solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, availability, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to software development goals and principles. Lead software product design; produce clear, well-documented design documents; and participate in software design and code reviews. Evaluate business problems and produce Machine Learning based solutions. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to develop and improve the performance of individual team members and success of overall team. Responsible for leading engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24x7 site. Build performance efficient, highly scalable, configurable, and available software applications and systems. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. Design, develop, and test high throughput back-end software systems. Develop object-oriented software and design, code, and test complex software features. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
