MTS 1, Software Engineer

eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Lead software product design, produce clear, well-documented design documents, and participate in design and code reviews. Define, design, and implement highly scalable, resilient, and performant distributed systems. Collaborate with architects, product management, engineering, quality engineer and operations teams to develop innovative software solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to testing goals and principles. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to develop and improve performance of individual team members and success of overall team. Communicate designs, methods, and results to a community of developers, analysts, and product managers.  Share release, and on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24x7 site. Implement Definition of Done (DoD) process for better quality by maintaining over 80% unit test coverage and other release criteria standards.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Special Skill Requirements: 1)    Java,2)    Scala,3)    MySQL,4)    Postgres,5)    Snowflake,6)    Golang7)    APIs,8)    Docker,9)    Kotlin, and10)    ApacheBase salary:  $184,662-234,850 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.  Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
