MTS 1, Software Engineer

eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Build and implement highly available, scalable distributed systems, in using/building a rule engine (like Drools), in using Node.js, React.js, HTMLl5, CSS3. Design, develop and deploy software features in post-transaction platform that support business process needs of existing products (INR, returns, refunds etc.). Build and implement highly available, scalable distributed systems, in using/building a rule engine (like Drools). Update existing or build new micro services and integration with existing systems at eBay using rest or pub/sub technologies. Estimate engineering efforts, plan execution cycles, roll out system changes, provide support post-production, and propose/implement working prototypes for testing new ideas.  Set and adhere to software coding and style guides to ensure consistency. Participate in design and code reviews and contribute to coding and unit testing of fault-tolerant software applications. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a software engineer, or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements: 1.    Java2.    JavaScirpt3.    HTML4.    CSS5.    Object oriented analysis and design6.    advanced algorithms7.    multi-threading8.    APIs9.    MapReduceBase salary: $184,662-234,850 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.  Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
