Project Manager – Automation and Manufacturing EngineeringStatus: Exempt (salaried)                                                                 Department: MFG OperationsPosition SummaryThe Project Manager plays an important role in the development and execution of projects & initiatives to support the development and implementation of automated manufacturing equipment.  They develop and maintain project schedules to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with established deliverables, schedules, and budgets. This individual will coordinate with interdepartmental functions to efficiently allocate resources while also interfacing with key stakeholders to help define priorities for project initiatives within the Automation and Manufacturing Engineering organization.  Projects will range from internal design/build projects that retrofit existing equipment to the buildout of new manufacturing equipment for Fuel Cell and Electroylzer production using external vendors.The ideal candidate exhibits exceptional communication and project management skills along with a strong background in systems thinking and problem solving.  This individual must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and is willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced organization. Principle Accountabilities:Develop and drive consistent project management methodology and status reporting.Project execution KPI’s including schedule, budget, and deliverables.Support improvements in safety, production quality, production capacity, and cost reduction initiatives.Primary Responsibilities:Plan the projectDetermine the objectives and key performance indicatorsDetermine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.)Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences activitiesIdentify, track and mitigate project risksReview the project schedule with stakeholdersEvaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phaseStaff the projectWork with stakeholders to identify appropriate resources necessary to complete the projectManage project team according to established policies and practicesImplement the projectExecute according to the project planFoster an environment conducive to discussion and collaborative decision makingReview quality of work completed with the project teamEstablish a communication scheduleMonitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessaryEfficiently develop processes to document project activities Facilitate the projectSchedule meetings as necessary to coordinate resources for requirementsReport out to the project team and key stakeholders on a consistent basisSpot, resolve and / or escalate issues in a timely wayEnsure proper change controls are implemented and managedWork across IT and business functions to manage priorities of multiple competing projects​Evaluate the projectEnsure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality Qualifications:BS/BA degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field5 yrs’ minimum experience working as a Project Manager Excellent project management skills (PMP certification preferred)Broad range of operations experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentExperience with ERP systems, data bases, and spreadsheet analysisAbility to model and analyze process workflowsOutstanding verbal & written communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated critical thinking and creative problem solvingStrong leadership skillsProficient with Microsoft Office software suite, including Project3D Modeling experience (Solidworks and Creo are preferred)Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex methodologies to diverse audiences and stakeholdersUncompromising dedication to qualityAbility to manage multiple complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedPay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
