Carefully analyze and document test results.Support Illumina’s Diagnostics/Clinical platforms: experience working in an FDA regulated environment in test, quality, software high desirable.Contribute to the test automation effort on multiple instruments and networked subsystems that power Illumina’s industry-leading DNA sequencing devices.Responsible for test reporting, quantitative and qualitative analysis of test data.Work with firmware developers to drive all aspects of the firmware testing process for the team in Agile environment.Participate in the Instrument embedded system leadership team helping to deliver high quality firmware by collaborating with Instrument SW Quality, Validation, etc. to continuously improve SDLC processes.Learn and have fun with some of the smartest cross functional engineers in Product DevelopmentBS, MS, or Phd degree in CS, EE, ME, Biomed., Bioeng., Bioinformatics, or related engineering field, or equivalent experienceAll listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Shortlisted candidates will be offered at appropriate levels based on relevant experience and interviewers' assessment.Requirements:5+ years of experience in V&V, the software test/development field, with firmware/embedded SW experience.Strong experience in firmware test concept and strategy, test case development, and analysis skills to test the edge conditions.Significant experience in writing clean, well architected Python programs and using Pytest for performing firmware tests with TCP/IP interface. Experience with Tcl is a plus.Able to understand MPU, MCU and FPGA systems and firmware written in C (both bare metal and RTOS-based systems).Experience with RTOS and OS: Linux and WindowsAbility to understand PCB schematics and troubleshoot problems using lab equipment including JTAG tools, Wireshark, multi meters, oscilloscopes, etc.Proficient at gathering and distilling firmware requirements into clear, thorough test cases and project test plans.High level of comfort with embedded test architecture and object oriented design concepts.Very good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with challenging schedules.Pass color blindness test without any findings.
