Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Previous game industry experience (development and / or marketing) required Strong oral and written communication skills, combined with a mature, diplomatic approach in all communications required. Effective presenter in a variety of formal presentation settings; one-on-one, small and large group required. Awareness of app development processes, developer support programs and related marketing activities desired Consumer electronics marketing / relationship management experience highly desired Demonstrable passion for Apple platforms preferred Previous team management experience desired Description Description As a player and coach, your responsibilities will be twofold:
Developer Relationship Leadership, where you'll be entrusted with forging and nurturing strategic relationships with third-party developers to align with our objectives and vision, and Team Oversight and Development, where you’ll directly lead and mentor a dedicated team of individual contributor Partnership Managers, empowering them to excel in their roles managing third-party developer relationships. Both facets of the job have specific requirements:
Developer Relationship Leadership:
- Manage Apple's relationships with a given set of third-party game developers (as will other individuals on your team).
- Build relationships to effectively deliver Apple's message to developers while championing developer needs and issues within Apple.
- Communicate Apple's product and marketing messages to third-party developers with particular focus on the games and streaming entertainment segments.
- Work with your direct team, cross-functional teams and third-party developers to bring strategic games and streaming entertainment titles to Apple's platforms.
- Stay up to date on the latest industry trends, technologies and methodologies — with particular emphasis on the games and streaming entertainment segments within the app-ecosystem — to ensure the team remains competitive and efficient.
- Maintain a high level of business expertise, combined with a strong understanding of the tools and technologies relevant to App development.
- Promote the benefits of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and visionOS technology adoption with third-party game and streaming entertainment developers.
Team Oversight and Development:
- Provide vision, direction and guidance to Partnership Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Monitor team performance, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews; identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance productivity.
- Assign tasks to team members based on their skills, expertise, and overall workload.
- Host regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to facilitate clear communication between team members and other departments, stakeholders and senior management.
- Inspire and empower team members to achieve excellence and to continuously improve.
- Ensure optimal use of resources to stay within departmental budgetary restraints.
- Define roles, responsibilities and expectations for team members.
- Address and find solutions to challenges or obstacles the team might face.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the team’s progress, challenges and achievements to senior management.
- Ensure team adheres to company policies, regulations, and best practices. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,200 and $274,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
