Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Over 5 yrs. of professional experience in Data Engineering & ML Proficiency in Python and other relevant programming languages Expertise in pioneering machine learning algorithms and model development Proven track record leading data collection and quality assessment, with the ability to translate data into impactful insights Solid base in statistical analysis and its various applications in ML Description Description We're seeking a Senior ML Data Engineer with a great foundation in machine learning to play a pivotal role in crafting the future of our devices and ecosystems. This role calls for an innovative problem solver with a flair for data analysis grounded in sound statistical principles and ML methodologies. You will be instrumental in guiding our data strategy and extracting meaningful insights to influence key decisions on numerous our ML-centric projects. We'll also look to you to: - Collaborate with ML experts, hardware designers, and user experience strategists to improve our ML-driven projects - Lead the end-to-end process of data collection, including setting requirements and working with internal and external partners - Ensure the highest standards of data and annotation quality, establishing and monitoring adherence to these protocols - Utilize data to generate insights critical for decision-making within the ML and hardware development lifecycle - Continuously refine and challenge your ideas, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field Additional Requirements Additional Requirements - Outstanding communication skills with an interest in unraveling sophisticated and nuanced issues - Experience optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and applying them to specific contexts - Knowledge of ML model optimization techniques, including quantization and pruning, and their implementation in microarchitecture and training environments Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
