The Measurement R&D Team is responsible for developing technologies, calibration methodologies and the respective instrumentation for the calibration and validation of Apple’s products. These solutions will be used during New Product Introduction (NPI) and transferred to mass production.
The role of this Engineer is to design and deploy the SW for effective measurement systems. This candidate will work closely with Optical Sensor & Camera Design groups within Apple to ensure the success of the current and future Apple products. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Hands-on experience in system engineering, and development in multidisciplinary environments. Hands-on experience in programming/scripting in Python or C/C++. Ability to track and manage multiple projects in a diverse, collaborative, highly cross-functional and dynamic environment. Data analysis experience in Python, Matlab - not mandatory. Experience in camera architecture, depth sensing, machine vision or image registration - not mandatory. Good communication and presentation skills. Work on multidisiciplany engineering projects with cross functional teams.
Work with a team of SW engineers to implement the calibration and test coverages during NPI.
Develop repeatable and reproducible processes that meet mass production requirements without affecting customer experience.
X-functional collaboration to define general calibration and test methods for depth cameras applicable across Apple’s full range of products.
Optimization of the calibration and test methods to move towards the next generation of factory testing.
