Health Sensing HW - Sensor Engineer

We are looking for sensor engineers with a desire to innovate in the space of optical sensors and health sensing features. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to tackle challenges involving sensors and algorithms. You will play a key role in developing and quantifying the performance of hardware solutions to enable optical sensing features. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience and proven track record in sensing system hardware engineering. Experience in two or more of the following: signal processing, multimodal sensing, sensor fusion, time series, time-frequency analysis, and dynamical systems. Software development skills, with proficiency in Python, Matlab. Experience with sensor signals and non-idealities, noisy data. Experience with sensor interfacing, signal conditioning and signal-to-noise analysis. Exceptional ability to tackle sophisticated problems and familiar with statistical analysis. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Description Description The team you will join is responsible for designing and delivering health features for Apple's wearable devices. We are highly collaborative and partner with a variety of teams across Apple. The responsibilities of this position include the following: - Contribute to the development of sensor architectures, with emphasis on HW and support for algorithms. - Define, author, and publish key specifications and other documentation needed to support the health sensor development process. - Drive multi-functional discussions, including problem solving and requirement drafting across various functions and teams. - Develop evaluation and modeling tools to quantify end user performance. - Engage in sensor technology prioritizing, prototyping, and development investigations. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
