Apple's WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) organization focuses on developing and deploying worldwide sales programs and standard methodologies to deliver an extraordinary customer experience in the channel and drive Apple Channel sales. With deep functional expertise in digital, physical, and people enablement spaces, our WW CSO team closely collaborates with many cross-functional groups at world-wide and regional levels. We are seeking an expert software engineer to join our worldwide business development and strategy team. You’ll play a critical part in driving our technology vision forward and ensuring that we implement across multiple initiatives. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building, delivering, and maintaining critical production-grade software Deep working experience with at least one programming language, preferably Javascript (NodeJS) Proficiency in advanced SQL and performance tuning Familiarity with version control systems, modern CI/CD practices, testing, and migration tools for database and software Experience with docker, Kubernetes and cloud computing platforms Deep expertise in modern software engineering approaches Understanding of Automation, Deployment, and Infrastructure as Code concepts using tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, etc Understanding of security and networking principles Extremely organized, meticulous, and thorough in every undertaking Excellent problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, and communication skills Ability to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly multi-functional environment Description Description We are looking for an experienced software engineer. In this role, you will work closely day-to-day with other engineers, users, and business leaders to plan, design, build, and ship high quality software. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and implementing scalable backend services (e.g. APIs) and database schema Participating in the overall architecture of interservice communication and data flows + helping to set the technical direction of the team Researching and developing new technologies and developing proofs of concept Providing help and guidance to less experienced team members Writing high quality code and reviewing the work of your peers Using software engineering pipeline tools (CI/CD, unit testing, manual testing, etc.) Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelors, Masters, or PhD or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Distributed Systems, Software Engineering, or related field and experience designing, building, maintaining, and extending large-scale production data systems.
