Summary Posted: Nov 8, 2023 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number: 200518850 The Facilities Supervisor works under general direction, reports and works directly with the Operations Facilities Manager to manage building maintenance activities as well as infrastructure upgrades. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 10+ years building maintenance experience with a focus on facilities operations and maintenance in a campus environment Candidate must possess strong leadership and management skills and have an excellent understanding of base building maintenance operations, services, and activities of building maintenance and repair Materials, methods, terminology, equipment and tools used in the maintenance, repair, and construction of building structures and systems including those used in performing rough and finished carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, and painting work Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation Equipment, tools and materials used in facility maintenance activities Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases Must have the ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and address any issues that arise day or night Detail oriented and customer service focused Strong verbal and written communication skills Pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rules The candidate must provide on-call support in case of emergencies or other off-hours issues Description Description Professional who will excel within an ambitious culture – providing vision, leadership, and communication – but not afraid to dive into details. They should also understand the nuances of being an approachable but sensible client or buyer – encouraging transparent external contacts while balancing fiscal responsibility with creativity. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Act as key liaison for campus operations and maintenance work including scheduling, facilities project creation, oversight, and financial tracking. Supervise all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire / Life Safety, and critical environment systems. Provide training to new team members or vendor leads to ensure that they are established within Apple’s internal systems and processes. Keep accurate documentation of any incidents, including Root Cause Analysis for internal reporting. Provide direct supervision to the on-site Engineering team for daily performance of work and goals. Assist with maintaining facility as the need arises for both safety and aesthetics. Make periodic inspections of work performed by on-site Engineering team and subcontracted vendors to ensure all work is of the upmost professional quality. Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and logs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; reporting deficiencies as needed. Maintain records of all current regulatory and operating permits. Hold ownership of the campus PM program and make recommendations for new maintenance procedures as needed. Assist in selecting, developing, and evaluating on-site Engineering personnel and vendors. Respond to emergencies as they occur during and after regular hours. Serve as back-up to the Maintenance Manager when needed.
