Job Requisition ID #23WD73324Position OverviewBuilding upon Autodesk's renowned design software, the Autodesk Construction Cloud is the leading design-and-make software solution worldwide and is used for design and construction of projects by a wide varieties companies - ranging from FAANG and pharmaceuticals to smaller, more specialized or regional companies. Our platform and its APIs are utilized by hundreds of partners to build extensions, integrations and complementary solutions related to technologies such as IoT, digital twins, VR/AR, etc. We are seeking a Director of Engineering with a drive for engineering excellence to evolve the platform in workflow/BPM, integration and related areas. If you love getting your hands dirty and are passionate about learning interesting technologies while building software that changes the way the world designs and makes things, this position could be a great fit for you!ResponsibilitiesBuild and lead global engineering teams of over 100 membersAccountable for scoping and on-time delivery of roadmap in collaboration with PM and designDriving a culture of continuous improvement in quality, durability and productivity, driven by measurable metricsProvide mentorship to managers and ICs to build bench for a growing orgProvide technical wisdom and guidance in every-day decisions such as build vs. license vs. open-sourceDrive operational excellence in services deployed by your teamMinimum Qualifications8–12 years of experience directing global teams of similar scale in a global name-brand SaaS/cloud vendor. The product line you were working in should have had minimum of $100MM in ACV, 1+ million MAUs or equivalent scaleDemonstrated success leading development organizations with highly complex and scalable products and experience in designing and developing for global deploymentIntimate familiarity with modern SaaS implementations, including areas such as in-product analytics, A/B testing, canary deployments, etc. and a data-driven approach to product developmentDirect experience with cloud-based document or content management technologies, specifically Forms, Workflows/BPM, Integration patterns, etc. and knowledge of commercial and open-source alternativesProduction familiarity with microservices-based implementations and the planning, testing and deployment nuances specific to such an environmentAbility to communicate effectively in writing, orally or via presentationsPreferred QualificationsHigh-energy with passion that fosters loyalty, motivation and commitment in team membersHands-on and entrepreneurial style — one that looks to become personally involved in all elements of managing their functional responsibility, and someone who seeks to develop like-minded senior managers with similar capabilitiesDoes not have need to be the smartest person in a room and instead seeks the optimal outcome from the team!Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $170,000 and $275,880. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
