We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours! Job Summary: The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect is an individual contributor, and will perform technical planning, end-to-end architecture development and design specifications for distributed cloud computing environments. Provides technical leadership and is responsible for establishing the direction for the application architecture, standards, design and implementation in a distributed cloud environment in Azure. Creates, evaluates and implements plans and design proposals for high impact cloud integrated enterprise solutions. Leads or contributes to designs applied to all aspects of business systems and/or infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation. Performs work of high complexity and derives logical processes based on technical platforms. Engages in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, business and technical analysis. Possesses broad and deep skills across disciplines, serving as a mentor to others. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in distributed computing deliveries that include DataBricks in Azure and AWS, Microsoft Azure Fabric systems, and provides expert guidance in the design, development, and implementation of SAP solutions with enterprise integration in the cloud. Core Responsibilities: Understand distributed computing architecture principles and articulates value proposition of architecture to business and technology partners.Demonstrate deep subject matter leadership of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).Design large-scale cloud architectures and understand relevant cloud services, with deep understanding of consumption-based usage to determine appropriate resource configurations to use.Develop current and target state architecture, future vision and migration path that is aligned with broader executive strategies.Apply infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques to design migration of data and workloads between on-premise and cloud based distributed computing environments.Demonstrate mastery of cloud architecture and implementation features (multi-tenancy, orchestration, elastic scalability, serverless designs, networking, security, and fiscal observability).Understand and consider end-to-end observability in architecture designs and implications.Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to design scalable, high-performance SAP solutions tailored to meet business requirements.Develop the SAP implementation architecture including data and systems, while ensuring it aligns with the organization's overall business and technology strategy.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and engineering teams. Stay updated with the latest SAP trends and best practices, and guide the team accordingly.Architect seamless integration of SAP modules and components with other DataBricks based enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and smooth business processes.Identify and address performance bottlenecks, and drive optimization of SAP systems for improved efficiency and responsiveness.Implement and oversee SAP security measures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data within SAP applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers, to drive successful SAP implementations and upgrades.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to SAP and integration architecture, configuration, and processes.Recommend and participate in governance practices of the IT organization as they relate to Cloud implementation.Design and formulate disaster recovery plans. Ensures decisions around architecture are made in alignment with defined strategies and deviations from standards are accurately identified, addressed, and communicated.Ensure that standards set by Data, Security, Infrastructure, Platform and other enterprise architecture domains are followed when designing solutions.Decompose the most sophisticated problems into discrete work units; provides detailed specifications for proposed solutions. Effectively address information governance and security challenges associated with running workloads on public clouds. Requirements:A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required. A master’s degree in Computer Science is desirable. Minimum of 10 years experience across several of these areas: architecture, cloud architecture, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless computing, CI/CD,  cloud migrations, IT transformation. Experience in the design and implementation of complex IT solutions (including scalable cloud-based solutions). Experience with designing, implementing and maintaining highly available mission critical environments for 24x7 availability. Experience with large enterprise level systems and managing data at scale. SAP R3/S4 is a big plusCertification and/or Experience with multiple public cloud providers (AWS, Azure) is required.  Must be proficient in taking the lead on a complex technical project, which may require the participation of other teams to deliver. Experience architecting cloud native solutions or migrating on-prem solutions to cloud. Ability to understand and articulate common architectural patterns and design principles. Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and developers. Expertise in creating architecture diagrams to communicate design with other stakeholders is required.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $133,300 -- $261,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
