Financial Shared Services AssociateStatus: Non-exempt (Hourly) Department: Finance/AccountingLocation: Latham, NY or Rochester, NYPosition SummaryThe Final Shared Services Associate is a critical member of the Financial Shared Services team. This role provides support for process-level transactions in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions. The ideal candidate should exhibit exceptional customer service skills, a positive attitude and a strong attention for detail. The FSS Associate will interface on a regular basis with other departments including but not limited to Operations and Sales. Additionally, the successful candidate is also a service-oriented person who enjoys high volume transactional responsibilities and takes pride in the accuracy and thoroughness of their work. The FSS Associate will also be expected to interact professionally, both internally and externally throughout the business, with customers and vendors of Plug Power.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the Accounts Payable email and voicemail, communicating with vendors and internal management as necessaryProcess received invoices in AP software, coding invoices, and routing for approval within the pre-established guidelines and policiesMatch received invoices against purchase orders and receiving transactions, where needed. Work with the operations team to resolve 3-way match discrepanciesPull supporting documents required for weekly payments, entering payments into banking software accuratelyWork with suppliers to reconcile statements of account ensuring payments and credit are accurately appliedAssist with the processing of monthly sales tax filings and obtaining annual exemption certificatesMaintain a strong internal control environment compliant with SOXBuild and maintain effective cross-functional relationships within the organization; engage with cross-functional partners proactively in completion of job responsibilitiesSupport ongoing process improvement projectsRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in finance preferredAt least one (1) year of experience in a customer service or detail-oriented role requiredApproach all work activities with a customer service focusComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.Strong verbal and written communication skillsUncompromising dedication to qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedPay Rate:$22.12 - $31.68We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
