The mission of the Marketing PMO is to introduce and maintain a consistent approach to managing projects as well as look for opportunities to streamline process and scale. Our team oversees the cross-functional planning and execution of marketing projects to ensure support of best practices, standards, methodologies and tools. The Global Digital Project Manager, who reports into the Project Management Office (PMO), plays a key role in the organization, coordination, and management of Workday’s marketing programs, projects, and strategic initiatives.About the RoleThe Marketing Project Manager position plays a versatile role in the project initiation, planning and management of global digital projects from inception through deployment, ensuring our stringent quality control process is followed for all deliverables. Reporting to the Manager of Marketing Project Management, the Global Digital Project Manager works collaboratively with all marketing functions, as well as other functional teams outside of marketing, in the successful and timely execution of projects. The Global Digital Project Manager will juggle multiple projects simultaneously as well as ensure all project team members are on task, driving them to successful delivery while removing obstacles along the way, recognizing problem areas early and facilitating solutions. This role requires close partnership with multiple teams across Marketing, specifically Digital Marketing Management, Web Production, Campaigns, and Localization in the scoping, planning, prioritization and execution of all projects, monitoring projects and schedules, as well as partnering closely with creative, development, production and sometimes agency teams to ensure projects are completed on time. The Global Digital Project Manager also supports the Marketing PMO team with process improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing sessions, process documentation, and other projects as needed.About YouKey Responsibilities Include:Draw on prior experience with website content publishing and multi-channel promotional programs to guide projects to successful completionPartner with the Marketing Project Managers and functional leads to define, document, and communicate project scope with all key stakeholders.Build project plans and schedules to support the successful execution of digital projects including campaign asset creation, graphics, copywriting, website page updates or content migrations, and global initiatives. Ensure all deliverables align with project scope and goals.Day-to-day management of projects, track milestones, manage task/project dependencies and proactively communicate issues.Organize, facilitate, and drive meetings. Determine meeting agendas, highlight key milestones, drive issue resolution, and keep track of follow up items. Summarize and communicate meeting outcomes to all stakeholders and cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, digital, web production, QA, localization, advertising, etc.) Ensure priorities are known, issues are resolved, and efforts are coordinated. Maintain communication with all project stakeholders to ensure inter-departmental alignment, optimization of resources, smooth handoffs, and project consistency.Liaise with our creative resource manager and functional leads to resource projects through our project management tool, Workfront. Manage and monitor progress, handoffs, and deliverable status leveraging our tool. Ensure overall project/program quality, and look for ways to streamline processes and increase overall efficiency.Audit projects once completed, conduct post-mortem meetings, determine improvements, and implement process changes in collaboration with the PMO team.Identify issues and risks and remove roadblocks to keep projects on track.Be an effective team member and build positive, collaborative relationships across teams and departments.Help continually refine the current global project management framework, including tools and processes in partnership with the PMO team.Basic Qualifications:3-5 years in business to business marketing with proven project management experience. Strong understanding of the full marketing lifecycle from planning, creative, digital production, and promotion project management and technologies.Demonstrated clear leadership skills and experience working on large, complex cross-functional projects with several stakeholder groups.Proven experience leading digital and creative projects and programs, working with cross-functional teams, and managing virtual/global teams. Experience with Content Management Systems and Digital Asset Management systems (AEM preferred).Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Google docs, Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.)Prior experience working on Digital projects and Demand Gen campaigns and ability to understand marketing briefs and guide cross-functional teams.Prior experience working on global marketing projects, including content translations and multi-site publishingOther Qualifications:Understanding of SaaS and/or enterprise software digital marketing a plus.Excellent client-facing skills including self-presentation and clarity of verbal and written communication. Able to negotiate and manage conflict.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results on time; graceful under pressure.Impeccable attention to detail. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
