Position Overview
You are passionate about creating engaging and effective eLearning courses and programs for a high velocity dynamic software company. You are technically adept, you have business acumen, and you can simplify the complex. The role of Instructional Designer at Diligent will be responsible for creating engaging eLearning courses and other learning content (conference sessions, training blogs) that enable our customers, partners, and staff to effectively use our platform to drive professional success.
Responsibilities:
Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs
Employ a variety of mediums (video, engagement activities, scenarios, storytelling, etc.) to maximize engagement
Utilize style guides, user experience best practices, and user feedback to create beautiful courses that are easy to navigate
Maintain existing courses to ensure they are up to date
Administer the technologies used to author and deliver courses
Engage with learners through email, blogs, forums, and user groups
What you need to succeed:
Previous working experience in instructional design for 2-5 years
In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Experience with technolog ies for course authoring, audio editing, and video production ( e.g. Articulate Rise and Storyline 360, Madcap Flare, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite)
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and Python is strongly preferred
Familiarity with development of microlearning content in a variety of formats (self-paced e- learning, blogs, job aids, podcasts, infographics, and other visuals) is considered an asset
Experience or education in any of the following fields is preferred:
Instructional design
Topic-based a uthoring
Technical writing
