NVIDIA Technologies is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Mechanical engineering team and to be a key player in the development of Test and Assembly fixtures for Network systems. This position includes early involvement with products Assembly & testability requirements, overall responsibility of test equipment design, managing several projects at the same time, close interaction with HW, PMC (Product management & configuration), Thermal, Layout, Quality and NPI teams. Our product line is focused on delivering the most optimized Ethernet solutions for industries like Media and Entertainment as well as any other industry that can benefit from our DataStream and TCP/IP acceleration.What you’ll be doing:Design jigs, fixtures and ASSY/test equipment involving dynamic mechanisms, pneumatics and control.Independently lead jigs design from concept, through detailed design, and support it during NPI and MP stages.Preparation of production files and operating instructions, calibration and maintenance.Leading large projects, dividing them into subsystems and guiding younger designers in detailed designs.Accompanying the production and assembly of the jigs at the manufacturers sites.Finding fast and robust solutions to problems that arise in production.Bringing creative ideas to improve and constantly optimize the functioning of the jigs.What we need to see:B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering8+ years’ experience in classical mechanical design of mechanisms, jigs, fixtures, products, and machine development.Knowledge and experience in automation (pneumatics, xyz, robots, servo, etc…)Knowledge and experience in: Design of machining and sheet metal parts, static and dynamic analysis and dynamic simulationsExperience in leading large projects.Acquaintanceship with local manufacturers and suppliers.Excellent hands-on experience with 3D CAD. SolidWorks or Creo is an advantage.Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hebrew.Self-motivated with a sharp learning curve and able to work independently and as a teammate.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Background in development of multi-disciplinary machinesExperience in IDF file exchange with Layout engineersBackground with mechanical stress simulation tools such as ANSYS Mechanical.
