An overview of this role:
We're looking for a Product Manager to drive the roadmap for MLOps at GitLab! This group is focused on enabling GitLab users to build and run data science workloads across GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform . This individual will lead an expansion of GitLab’s core personas to address the needs of data science teams and will work cross-functionality with other GitLab stages to ensure our platform supports ML/AI workloads that align with our ModelOps product direction . This individual will be responsible for developing new revenue-generating products and enhancing existing product features used by millions of users across the world.
What you’ll do :
Work closely with internal development, technical field, legal, and privacy teams to enable GitLab to effectively support data science use cases
Ensure that the next milestone contains the most relevant items to customers, users, and us
Work with customers, users, and other teams to make feature proposals enticing, actionable, and small
Keep the group’s /direction up to date as our high-level roadmap
Ensure that we translate customer demands to features that solve problems and get used but keep the product UI clean and the codebase maintainable
Be present on social media (hacker news, twitter, stack overflow, mailing list), to keep up with the rapidly evolving ML/AI ecosystem
What you’ll bring
Knowledge of how to operationalize the lifecycle management of data science workloads, including data ingestion and ETL, feature engineering, development environment setup, CI/CD integration, model versioning, testing, and production deployment
Familiarity with the technical differences and operational requirements of various AI disciplines (e.g. supervised and unsupervised machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, neural networks, etc.)
Deep understanding of the production pain points of data science products
Prior experience with data science products and use cases
Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team in a large Product organization

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity . Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary. Colorado/Washington pay range $124,600 — $246,200 USD California/New York/New Jersey pay range $127,600 — $273,600 USD
