Job Requisition ID #23WD72559Position OverviewAs a CNC Post Processor Specialist with an emphasis on Plugin/Addin/Macro creation you will help ensure the seamless integration of our Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software with CNC machines. You will develop the post-processor library and creating plug-ins/macros for the Autodesk CAM solutions and collaborating with teams to enhance our manufacturing capabilities. You will report to Technology consulting Manager based out in BangaloreResponsibilitiesCAM Add-in developmentDevelop, customise, and maintain Add-ins/Plugins/Macros connecting CAM software to manufacturing equipmentCollaborate with internal CAM partners/developers to validate the API functionality for Fusion360Improve existing APIs to ensure performance and compatibility with evolving vendor technologiesIntegration Expertise: Collaborate with vendors to comprehend their unique requirements and integrate their solutions with our platformCNC Controller Knowledge: Use your in-depth understanding of CNC controllers, G Codes, and machining processes to provide technical guidance and expertise to our vendor partnersDocumentation: Create comprehensive and user-friendly documentation for Add-in/Plugins, simplifying the integration process for vendor partnersCNC Post Processor:Develop, customise, and maintain CNC post-processor for Autodesk CAM solutionsCollaborate with CAM software developers to ensure compatibility of post-processorsDebug and troubleshoot post-processor code to address issues and improve the functionality of the postStay up-to-date with industry best practices for CNC post-processingCollaboration: Work with teams, including software developers and vendor partners, to gather requirements, propose technical solutions, and facilitate smooth integration. Train and assist Autodesk channel partners in using CAM API and developing Automation toolsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C++) for automation and scriptingExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologiesKnowledge of CNC machine operation, including 3-axis and multi-axis machiningFamiliarity with industry-specific best practices in CNC machining.Accommodate occasional domestic or international travel1+ years of experience with Plugin/Macro/Addin development and automation of backend processesExperience with complex CNC machining processesKnowledge of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing concepts#LI-AC3Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
