Job Requisition ID #23WD72561Position OverviewAs a Post Processor and Digital Twin/Machine Simulation Configuration Specialist at Autodesk, you will help ensure the seamless integration of our Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software with CNC machines and controllers. You will develop the post-processor library and configuring digital twin/machine simulation kits for the Autodesk CAM solutions and collaborating with teams to enhance our manufacturing capabilities. You will report to Technology consulting Manager based out in Bangalore.ResponsibilitiesPost Processor:Develop, customise, and maintain CNC post-processor for Autodesk CAM solutionsCollaborate with CAM software developers to ensure compatibility of post-processorsDebug and troubleshoot post-processor code to address issues and improve functionality of the postStay up-to-date with industry best practices for CNC post-processingDigital Twin/Machine Simulation Configuration:Configure and maintain digital twin/machine simulation kits for for Autodesk CAM digital twin solutionsCollaborate with engineers and programmers to replicate machine behaviour and toolpath simulationsValidate and verify digital twin simulations to ensure they match real-world machining resultsResolve discrepancies between digital twin simulations and actual CNC machine performanceCAM and CNC Expertise:Use your knowledge of CAM software and CNC machines to provide technical guidance to Autodesk's internal and external partnersTrain and assist Autodesk channel partners in using CAM software and understanding post-processor and Machine Simulation processesContinuous Improvement:Analyse and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and reduce production cycle timesManage relationships with clients – meet with clients (virtually or in person) to discuss their needsHelp grow our client base by helping Autodesk partners with support and quality post modificationsWork with OEMs and machine tool resellers to develop technical contact relationshipsRecommend and implement enhancements to post-processing and simulation configurations to increase efficiency and accuracyDocumentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive documentation for CNC post-processor configurations, simulation settings, and changesCreate reports on simulation results, highlighting areas for improvement and optimizationMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Min 1 to 3 years of Proven experience in CNC post-processing and CAM software configuration, with a understanding of G-code and M-codeProficiency in digital twin/machine simulation software (e.g., Siemens NX, Vericut, or equivalent)Knowledge of CNC machine operation, including 3-axis and multi-axis machiningFamiliarity with industry-specific best practices in CNC machiningAccommodate occasional domestic or international travelExperience with complex CNC machining processes, such as 5-axis machiningKnowledge of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing conceptsFamiliarity with programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C++) for automation and scripting#LI-AC3Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
