Your proven skills to maintain and grow data center operations and the team to support our customers will drive success in this role. You will have the opportunity to build critical aspects of the business via scalable and cost-effective data center operations & customer deployments. In this role, you will help establish repeatable and scalable processes, drive stability and resiliency of operations, lead the build out, onboarding, and operationalization of data center capacity. You will oversee the operations of data centers including 24x7 support, maintaining hardware, software, networking, security components and resolving issues associated with security, availability, and access. Responsibilities include: Manage and drive strategy for an IT technical team of operations engineers, system administrators, and third-party vendors. Accountability to develop operational plans for yearly execution, with cost efficiency and adherence to owned budget. Ensure customer SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are measured and met. Identify, plan, and manage high-risk IT changes. Actively participate in the incident and outage process to ensure proper root cause analysis and appropriate follow-up. Implement continuous improvement of processes. Develop detailed plans for scaling data center operations in current geography and new geographies. Provide technical and people leadership. Create and drive a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and safety. Drive specifications for tooling and automation that facilitate deployment, monitoring, remediation, and decommissioning of hardware at scale. Manage the performance and development of team members, conducting regular reviews, coaching sessions, and career conversations. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within and across teams, promoting a culture of learning and innovation. Required experience and skills: 6+ years of experience with infrastructure and software (e.g., Operating systems, data center, security, network, cloud computing, IaaS, PaaS) with minimum of three years management experience. Hands-on implementation experience with IT tools and automation. Demonstrated ability to update skills to accommodate evolving technology landscape, specifically with cloud, hybrid cloud, private cloud, and bare metal products. Hands-on experience with data center deployments for bare metal or servers and meeting uptime and reliability goals. Hands-on experience in developing automation scripts. Willing to work an operational schedule. Experience with virtualization, networking and firewall technology is preferred. Experience supporting customers in the Media and Entertainment, Architectural, Engineering and Construction and/or Data Science market segments preferred. Proven experience as a people manager or a similar leadership role in a relevant industry or domain. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others. Education: Technical bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent plus ten years minimum related experience. Applicable certifications: CompTIA, Network Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications, Leadership Development Certifications, PMP.
