Our team creates products are built on a mature, cloud-native event-driven microservices architecture hosted in AWS.SailPoint is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help build a new cloud-based SaaS identity analytics product. We are looking for well-rounded backend or full stack engineers who are passionate about building and delivering reliable, scalable microservices and infrastructure for SaaS products. This is a unique opportunity to build something from scratch but have the backing of an organization that has the muscle to take it to market quickly, with a very satisfied customer base. Responsibilities Responsible for development, support, maintenance, and implementation of complex components of a program module or medium sized project through extensive usage of standard concepts and principles.Works as a fully contributing team member, under broad guidance with independent planning and execution responsibilities.Requires extensive knowledge of at least one development technology/ programming language.Expected to continue to build upon domain knowledge along with technical/proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise while adapting standard principles to new or changed conditions in day-to-day workDeliver efficient, maintainable, robust Java based microservices. Produce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements. Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing. Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features. Requirements 3+ years of professional software development experience Strong Java experience Great communication skills BS in Computer Science, or a related field Proficient experience with object-oriented analysis and design skills Proficient experience with an object-oriented programming language and techniques Proficient understanding of Java Frameworks Preferred Experience working on C++/.NET applications.Knowledge of different authentication, encryption and security mechanisms like OAuth2, TLS, SASL etc.Experience with Continuous Delivery Experience instrumenting code for gathering production performance metrics SailPoint is an equal opportunity employer and we welcome everyone to our team.
