The emerging field of spatial finance harnesses AI insights from remote sensors and aerial imagery to help banks, insurers, investment firms and businesses analyze risks and opportunities, enable new services and products, measure the environmental impact of their holdings, and assess damage after a crisis. Building digital platforms and smart services for ESG and Climate Risk management allows better understanding of the environmental and social risks associated with an investment. Thanks to AI, the financial sector can choose to prioritize activities that are more likely to support sustainable development — a framework known as environmental, social and governance (ESG). In addition to addressing Sustainable Finance AI tools can help addressing Climate Risk in Financial Services.NVIDIA aims at harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to substantially accelerate the path towards sustainability in the finance sector. The Climate and Sustainability Solution Architect team supports customers in their efforts in the fields of risk assessment, climate modeling and mitigation, monitoring, adaptation, disaster response, and weather-extremes. Solution architects are technical advisors to the customers. We work closely with industry, academia, operational climate/weather centers, financial services, among other fields. We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and creative customer facing ML data scientist to support these efforts. What you'll be doing:Support customers in using NVIDIA products and develop GPU-accelerated solutions aligned with customer’s requirementsImplementing proof of concept solutions, present technical challenges and provide guidanceBuild usecases applied to Finance industry such as Generative AI, recommender, GAN, GNN, Monte-Carlo, Quantitative Finance, etc. by working closely with customersSupport Business Development and Sales teams. Provide feedback and collaborate with engineering, product and research teams.Deliver trainings, hackathons, demos and conference presentations on NVIDIA solutions and platformsSupport climate and sustainability activities, but also willing to support Financial services work in other areas when neededWhat we need to see:BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Physics, engineering, or related technical field 3+ years of experience with AI, ML, DL, NLP, and/or Generative AIExperience with the Finance sectorGood programming skills (Python and/or C/C++)Experience in developing or using major deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow)Familiarity with containers, numerical libraries, modular software design, version control, GitHubSolid written and oral communications skills and familiarity with collaborative environmentsTeam players, creative abilities, can learn and adapt quicklyWays to stand out from the crowd:Skilled in deploying ML/DL models at scale on public cloud computing clusters in productionDevelopment experience with NVIDIA software libraries and GPUsUsing Geospatial data and AI for insurance use cases or for ESG use casesIndustrial experience working with climate risk modeling in the financial services sectorVisualization experience, namely outputs from comprehensive Earth System ModelsNVIDIA is one of the technology industry's most desirable employers.
