If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Broadcom Inc has a job opening for a Field Applications Engineer (AE) in the San Jose Bay area of California.  The AE will provide technical support at customers for optical and magnetic isolation across the Western region of the United States.   The AE’s responsibilities will include:Support the design-in of Avago’s automotive isolation product offering at customers.Provide technical assistance through all phases of the design cycleWork jointly with R&D and Product Engineering to resolve technical issues during and after design in activities.Provide training for internal and external customers.Determine trends and growth drivers Broadcom should be targeting in the automotive isolation marketsAssist in developing the go to market strategy with the product line and sales managementQualificationsThe preferred candidate will have a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher), 8+ years experience using isolation in electric vehicles, battery management systems, inverters, on board charging, motor control, or similar systems. The ideal candidate should also have experience in digital, analog and gate drive isolation designs and applications.  Must have good communication skills, be able to interface with customers and the product division. Able to develop and present technical and training materials. The job will require some travel within the Western United States as well as occasional travel outside the Western US.   The preferred location is the San Jose Bay area.Additional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $129,000 - $215,000.OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission in accordance with relevant plan documents.
