Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.Calix is seeking a Manufacturing / Process Engineer to be responsible for the transition of key products from Asia to USA to support Build America programs. This role encompasses manufacturing design, operation, implementation and best practice sharing among Calix manufacturing suppliers. The successful candidate will enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance sustainability and maximize profitability. Job Responsibilities:Plans, directs and manages NPI, sustaining base operations.Develop, evaluation, optimize and share best practice manufacturing processes from inception through to start up and certification at Calix ODM / CMS suppliers.Participates in resolving technical issues across manufacturing operations.Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data.Monitor and audit manufacturing yields and work with suppliers on quality improvement plans.Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.Conduct detailed process analysis to identify areas for improvement. Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.Perform process simulations and risk assessments while managing cost and time constraints.Address complex manufacturing issues with innovative solutions.Provide process documentation and SOPs as well as ensure equipment and tools are suitable for manufacturing quality productsProvide input on new product development (DFM/DFA/DFR)Ability to think outside the box to bring innovative solutions to manufacturing issues, problem solver and team player.Establish and implement quality control processes to ensure that PCBAs meet industry and regulatory standards.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.Prior internal/external customer facing presentation experience a plus.Demonstrated ability to lead, initiate, facilitate, and implement change, through the actions and activities of self and governed team on behalf of Calix. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering.At least 5 years' proven work experience in the process engineering fieldExcellent technical skills.Knowledge of process related standards.Experience in process simulations, SMT, PCB assembly and mechanical assembly.Experience in Propel or Agile, other change management systems.Working knowledge of process engineering software packages.CAD or AutoCad skills.Familiarity with health and safety regulations.#LI-Remote
