Our Ways of Working
We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees.
We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.
What the Role Is
Babylist is looking for a Product Development Specialist to be involved in all aspects of Owned Brands, taking on critically important responsibilities to facilitate a smooth transition from development to launching on-site. This role will be responsible to understand how Owned Brands works internally and cross-functionally to better implement processes.
This role will report to the Director of Owned Brands Development, but will work closely with production managers to support all phases of development, marketing requests, photo shoot preparedness, item set-up, and production.
Who You Are
You have 1-2 years experience in product development and production
You have the ability to multitask and prioritize with a sense of urgency and flexibility
You demonstrate ability to be a self-starter who is solution orientated
You have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
You have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel
You are able to deal with high levels of ambiguity. You can effectively cope with change and can shift gears comfortably
How You Will Make An Impact
Gather and post all certifications from factory partners
Set up factory first samples from factory to Merchant and or to PD Director, ensure delivery and gather feedback from owner to share with production team
Organize and request development samples for photo shoots ensuring that all items necessary are at the studio in a timely manner
Deliver images with proper sorting to site merchandising
Write up and submit all marketing requests for copy and packaging
Document and maintain all product information to be used cross-functionally
Set up all Owned Brands items in our system with complete information ( MOQ, Price, costs etc.)
Purchase UPC codes for all Owned Brands items
Track shipments with logistics from pick up to delivery in WH
Track and document damaged items returned by customers

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The estimated pay range for this role is $45,000.00 - $68,000.00
In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
