US Federal Government Associate Fellow - Military Bridge ProgramDescription -Program Overview HP is partnering with Hiring Our Heroes for a 12-week Fellowship Program with transitioning service members in their last 180 days of service. During these 12 weeks, participants will get hands on training and experience in the private sector with the end goal of gaining the skills needed to be successful in the civilian workforce. HP will provide the participants with a direct Supervisor, Mentor and Buddy to help them succeed throughout the 12-week program and help them gain valuable skills as they transition out of the military and into the civilian workforce. This fellowship position is designed for a candidate seeking to further their career in the realm of legislative and regulatory advocacy, public policy analysis, and relationship management.This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for growth and development in the field of government affairs and public policy. The fellow will have access to mentoring, training, and exposure to real-world advocacy efforts within HP's Government Relations Department. The fellowship duration and structure can be tailored to accommodate the fellow's educational and professional goals.Responsibilities:Support Strategic Initiatives: Assist in setting the vision and direction for HP's public policy understanding across the Americas region. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans to align with HP's goals and priorities.Policy Analysis: Stay updated on legislative and regulatory developments, assess their potential impact on HP, and assist in developing the company's response strategies. Create clear and concise documents to brief executives on legislative matters and provide recommendations.Relationship Building: Collaborate with government officials, opinion leaders, and external stakeholders to build and maintain positive relationships. Participate in government forums, industry group meetings, and represent HP in external engagements.Project Management: Assist in the management of large, complex government relations projects and programs.
