Service Planning ManagerStatus: Exempt (Salaried)                                                     Department: Aftermarket SupportPosition SummaryThe Service Planning Manger is responsible for all materials utilized by service globally including operations, distribution, and customer facilities. As a planning manager, this individual is responsible for ensuring that strategic material planning processes are in place to meet customer service level agreements (SLA) and maintain service production continuity while optimizing inventory levels and costs. Planners and Managers within the Service Planning organization are responsible globally for the product lines they support. The Service Planning Manager must remain vigilant to maintaining customer commitments, deliverables and needs.The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a demonstrated track record of overseeing material planning and scheduling strategies with a focus on risk assessment, contingency management and driving efficiencies within a broad-scope, manufacturing environment. This position is expected to represent Plug Power with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity at all times.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesContribute to the creation and implementation of best practice material planning and scheduling vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.Take ownership of material planning issues that arise, including over or under delivery and take any follow up actions especially in the event of material shortages that affect production.Design, develop and implement flexible solutions to aid business efficiency, drive process improvements and add value. Ensure that any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system in place is effective and that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required.Ensure the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and inventory accuracy at all times and manage and control inventory levels and movements.Take overall responsibility for obsolete parts process and ensure business is left with minimum liability and minimal waste.Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the remanufacturing and production lines as and when required avoiding disruption to operationsTake lead on internal and external relationships to ensure consistent, timely and effective communication regarding material availability.Liaise with stakeholders on product change requests and review and communicate the impact on material planning and schedules. Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process. Ensure effective material planning implementation takes place relating to the changes.Develop and maintain good relationships within the supply chain and ensure demand for materials is met, deliveries made on time, resolving supplier concerns and evaluating supplier performance in conjunction with members of the purchasing teamRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.Perform all other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred; will consider experience in lieu of degreeA minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a supply chain, manufacturing, or material management role.Expert knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and components and of supply chain managementExpert knowledge of material planning methodologies, i.e., Kanban, bin stock, PFEP, PFMEACSCP/ASCM/CPIM/CLTD is highly preferredSix Sigma experience and training is preferredHands on experience with forecasting and budgetingExperience working in ERP systemsComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookSuperior verbal and written communication skillsDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levelsUncompromising dedication to qualityExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedPay Rate:$86,815.00 - $138,904.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
