Your potential is waiting; why are you?Genesys is seeking a Director, Strategic Sourcing to lead the technology strategic sourcing team within the Procurement organization. This role will be a blend of team guidance and contributing to complex, strategic projects. The Director will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing and be an integral part of the ongoing transition from tactical and reactive to strategic and proactive. The results-oriented individual will be influential in engaging with the various teams such as Finance, Legal-Privacy, IT-Infosec, Tax, etc. as needed. The Director will provide commercial leadership amongst these cross-functional teams while developing and executing creative strategies to ensure work is conducted with rigorous professional standards in full compliance with organizational governance.Key Responsibilities:Foster an inclusive, diverse, creative, and engaged environment that enables all team members to contribute to their full potential in conjunction with organizational objectivesLead complex sourcing projects across multi-dimensional businesses and influence stakeholders, vendors, executives, team members both internally and externallyAssign, coordinate, and manage workload of team members to prioritize and accomplish team and company goalsLeads team in developing stakeholder, vendor, and short-term & long-term category strategiesCreate, maintain, and improve relationships with existing partners, sponsors, industry analysts, stakeholders and other cross-functional teams as required to ensure continued engagement and partnershipsDelivers a range of reports relating to and including savings tracking, project status, savings forecasts and spend profiles to key stakeholders. Ensure metrics and action plan are in place for continuous improvementDevelops and delivers formalized presentations of project goals/deliverables, deal summaries, and category strategiesProvides leadership, mentoring, and career development plans for team membersInfluences effectively to ensure business needs consider commercial reality and do not unknowingly compromise valueManages sourcing calendar of events to facilitate budget discussions in conjunction with the strategic finance team and stakeholdersWorks within a cross-cultural, multi/country team to cultivate collaboration and performanceDesirable Skills:This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for innovation and driving positive change. You will lead the development and implementation of technology category sourcing strategies to meet challenging business targets, including cost reduction, working capital improvement, productivity improvement, supplier relationship management effectiveness and supply base reduction. Able to understand and carry out spend analysis and draw out conclusions and fact-based decision makingProject Management Skills: Ability to plan deliverables, milestone and sign-off points, monitor activities to achieve organizational goalsNegotiation Skills: Able to identify win-win solutions in a complex situation; able to keep cool under pressure and be able to find solutions in difficult situationsFunctional Knowledge of Procurement processes: Category Planning, Contract Lifecycle Management, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Stakeholder EngagementMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s DegreeProcurement/Project Management qualification is desirable10+ years of progressive procurement experience preferably in strategic sourcing within the technology category (Software, XaaS, Cloud, Telco, etc.)5+ years of demonstrated experience developing and leading teams that share a common purpose and are motivated to deliver results and influence changeAbility to operate in a highly matrixed environment with demonstrated experience leading other through influenceDemonstrated executive presence and ability to communicate effectively and influence Senior level/C-Suite managementOrganizational awareness and ability to plan, prioritize and make fact-based decisions using sound judgmentCritical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skillsHighly proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience with Procurement/Sourcing solutionsHighly collaborative and flexible with the ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-orientated and exciting, dynamic environment.Key Interfaces, Internal/External:This important position will require establishing and managing relationship(s) across many layers of internal and external interfaces.Reports to the Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing, Technology within the Procurement teamInterfaces with leaders at Sr. Director, Vice-President, and Senior Executive levels within Genesys from all functions including but not limited to Technology, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, IT, and Sales#LI-RemoteCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
