This role will support the Genesys tax department and manage a team of tax analysts in fulfilling tax compliance, reporting, and audit support activities, encompassing both direct and indirect taxes.This role will be based in our Manila, Philippines office, and have the flexibility to work in-office or a hybrid! This role will provide support to a U.S. based tax department.Key Responsibilities: In this role the primary responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Oversight of the preparation and filing of the United States state and local sales tax returns, Canadian GST/HST/PST/QST returns, global telecommunications tax returns and other required filings.Oversight of the preparation of various federal, state, and international income tax returns and required attachments.Lead, develop, mentor, and manage a team of tax analyst professionals.Identify areas to enhance and automate the direct and indirect tax compliance process.Oversee and assist with direct and indirect tax audits, tax technical research, and documenting audit results for management review.Assist with quarter-end financial reporting close process including the reconciliation of tax accounts.Support the Review and response to various tax notices, contact tax authorities when necessary to resolve in a timely manner.Work closely with various business partners to resolve tax related matters and provide guidance as needed. Oversee the management of the tax internal helpdesk to maintain thoughtful resolution to questions from all areas of the company within reasonable timeframes.Support ongoing tax planning and special projects, including tax research, analysis, and modeling/forecasting potential tax impacts.Keep up to date on tax law changes and perform technical research and analysis and apply tax laws to support tax positions related to the Company’s business transactions.Support the maintenance and monitoring of the global tax filing calendar to ensure timely reporting and payments.Role Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation or similar field preferred. Master’s Degree a plus.5-10 years of direct and indirect tax experience with multinational companies, preferred.Demonstrate the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment with a high level of integrity, manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and meet tight filing deadlines.Knowledge of US tax laws and regulations and US GAAP accounting standards, preferred.Strong people skills to build relationships and work closely and proactively within the global tax team, as well as with global cross-functional teams.Must be willing to work periodically outside of the normal workday hours to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem resolution skills to manage and reconcile large volumes of transactional data to report internally and externally.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Prior Experience with Vertex, Workday, OneSource, or Blackline is a plus.Prior managerial experience in the SaaS industry a plus.Prior Experience with telecommunications industry and taxes is a plus.Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines and projects timely and effectively.Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy.#L1-GF1#LI-HybridIf a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
