Senior Search Analyst

This job is a Senior Search Analyst in Trademark Research. The role is to design, manage and execute search and projects related to IP and to deliver customers with critical and effective information based on Clarivate’s strong trademark and design DBs and expertise. Also, be an excellent liaison for both customers and foreign attorneys to create a precise trademark search report which includes a review and translation into Japanese. Responsibilities of this position include all customer facing activities ranging from presales, managing, executing, through successfully delivering projects and post-sales/follow-up where appropriate.We are looking for a Senior Search Analyst to join our Trademark Research, IP Services in Japan. This is an amazing opportunity to work on trademark search and IP related project management. The team consists of 5 and reports to the Manager of Trademark Research. We have a great skill set in search method and data processing related to trademark and design search and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in trademark search and IP related project management. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  At least 3 years of experience in both domestic and international trademark search at IP department or IP firm. At least 3 years of experience in project management of long-term project (3-6 months).Strong time management skills and dependable in completing quality projects against deadline.Business level written and verbal communication in Japanese, business level written in English, and daily conversation level in English.Bachelor's degree or related degree or at least 5 years of equivalent relevant experience. It would be great if you also had . . .  Deep knowledge of both Japanese and international trademark law and practice. The experience working with large data sets or handling/analyzing large data sets.Qualification of Patent AttorneyWhat will you be doing in this role? According to the client's requests, determine an optimal search strategy, request search to foreign associates promptly, or conduct search using Clarivate's search tools.Review the search results, deliver them to the customer, and send an invoice.For long-term projects such as tender deal projects, provide all kinds of management, including preparing proposals, determining schedules, and timely reporting to customers.Develop new service and new analysis method based on Clarivate’s DBs.  About the Team   Trademark search by Clarivate is very special and unique service because Clarivate has own database, own data processing tool and professional people as internal consultant and has global network with foreign attorneys.In standard case, we work with 2-3 people for one project in 1-6 months and we sometime work with other service team together.  Our customer is all kind of companies and trademark firms in Japan.Hours of Work  The team is working for delivery work and presales work and service development and team hours is JST (Japan standard time) - this is a permanent. At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
