nCino offers exciting career opportunities for individuals who want to join the worldwide leader in cloud banking. nCino is looking for a Senior Employee Relations & Mobility Specialist, within our People Operations team, reporting to the Employee Relations leader, to perform a variety of duties related to employee relations (ER). This role will primarily focus on employee advocacy, investigations and inquiries, performance management and improvement, along with assisting in the maintenance of HR policies and employee handbooks and keeping nCino stays in accordance with labor and employment law. Essential Functions:Employee Relations (80%)Serve as an escalation point and advisor for complex employee relations and performance improvement issues for employees and leaders and the employee relations function Perform fact-finding in a deliberate, thorough, and timely manner to all employee and management inquiries and employee suggestions and/or concerns; may serve as subject matter expert for the function on matters of significance Identify, analyze and implement resolutions to complex and highly sensitive ER issues, including unusual situations where precedents for resolution are unavailable Engage with front line managers by providing ongoing support and advice on employee relations matters, sharing trends, best practices and relevant updates on labor and employment lawProvide day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching and counselling, to front line managers and employees • Communicate and interpret policies pertaining to the People Operations function, compensation, and benefits • Conduct exit interviews and gather and identify trends for review and analysis; collaborate with partners to share trends and offer recommendations; may perform detailed presentations to executive leaders Collect and analyze employee relations data and performance trends which may require improvement; and provide recommendations for review and potential change management effortsDevelop and deliver training and coaching methods in partnership with other functional areas, as appropriate Maintain updates to People Operations policies and employee handbooks; may lead projects to review changes to legislation and incorporate into nCino operational procedures Understand and put into practice the People Operations business model and objectives Remain compliant with nCino People Operations policies and practices, labor and employment law, and escalate legislative changes Prepare new standard operating procedures and/or update company policies and utilize subject matter expertise to conduct educational events in conjunction with business partners or functional areas (team members and managers)Escalate to other People Operations team members, legal management, and executives when complex, specialized, sensitive and/or complex questions and issues ariseLead or co-lead, in partnership with other functional areas, employee experience related projects or initiatives Mobility (20%)Liaise with external counsel to ensure mobility processes are conducted in line with local immigration framework.Work alongside external vendors to provide high quality immigration and relocation experience for employees Ensure end-to-end management of mobility cases for mobile employees Act as a liaison for the business by sharing information from external counsel to support with business decisions Liaise with business leaders regarding the extension or end of ongoing assignments Maintain right to work/ employment authorization documentation ensuring all information held is in line with statutory requirements Ensure mobility stakeholders are kept up to date on all immigration activities QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline 5+ years’ experience in Employee Relations, or similar role capacity or combination of equivalent education and experience Advanced knowledge of global HR concepts, compliance and regulations Experienced knowledge of global labor and employment law with the ability to interpret and apply knowledge to specific case being managed Ability to coach and influence front-line managers and employees at all levels in the organization Excelled problem-solving mindset with ability to see trends and proactively identify and offer long-term solutionsAnalytical, innovative and creative Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalismAbility to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills Flexible: willing and able to work non-traditional hours, on occasion Self-directed with ability to escalate matters of significance PreferredPrior HR experience and/or relevant certificationsMulti-lingualMulti-country labor law knowledge and/or experienceKnowledge of HR systems Enterprise system experience, such as Workday and/or Salesforce experience Public company experience If you thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment, we invite you to share your passion, ideas and excitement at nCino. nCino provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability, genetics or other protected groups.
