PEOPLE & CULTURE COORDINATOR - TEMPORARY Based at Rocket Lab's headquarters in Long Beach, California the People & Culture Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to employees, assisting the P&C team with file maintenance, HRIS entries, and other HR activities. You will support the Director of People & Culture and the People & Culture team with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors. *This is a 3-month fixed-term role for immediate hire, with the potential opportunity to convert to full-time employment upon term completion. This role sits onsite at our global HQ in Long Beach, CA - remote work is not considered for this position*   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee new hire preparations and set-up, orientation, new hire paperwork collection, and I-9 tracking for all locations. Process all pre-employment background screening. Maintain recordkeeping and upload documents into HRIS systems. Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports. Coordinate, review, and process required new hire paperwork. Provide and complete employment verifications as necessary. Process employee changes in the HRIS systems. Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Other duties as assigned. YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS (Note: you must meet every qualification in order to be considered) : Associate's degree in HR, Business, or related field 2+ years of related experience Must have proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:  Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with little supervision required. Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to organize, prioritize, and reorder workload in a dynamic environment. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.  In addition to base salary, Rocket Lab offers a comprehensive total compensation package based on individual qualifications and experience, which may include cash or equity incentives. Employees will also be eligible for medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan options, and to purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab's Employee Stock Purchase Program.
