Key Qualifications Key Qualifications In-depth experience in algorithm design with demonstrated ability to translate cutting-edge research into tangible applications, and proven mathematical understanding of machine learning and statistics. Experience with LLM is a big plus. Experience with signal processing and/or sensor data a plus. Developed production code (e.g. C/C++, ObjC, Java) for a shipping product in a peer reviewed environment. Implemented signals processing, statistical modeling, and/or machine learning algorithms to run on platforms with limited compute and memory. Collaborative problem-solving and technical leadership skills, with experience in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. Demonstrated ability to break down complex requirements into orthogonal and independent components for the purpose of building composable software. Description Description In this position, you will be designing and implementing novel algorithms that use machine learning and other techniques to create science-backed, delightful experiences for Apple users. You will: Invent, design and implement new algorithms across the Apple ecosystem using machine learning and other techniques Produce high quality code with excellent reliability and performance on embedded systems Communicate ideas clearly and precisely, both within our team and to cross-functional partners Contribute to the design of user studies and other data collections to ensure that our data strategy is fully aligned with our feature goals from prototype to post-ship monitoring Approach your work with a deep commitment to shipping quality features, a relentless focus on the user, and an ownership mindset Education & Experience Education & Experience M.S. in Computer Science, EECS, or a related field, or equivalent experience plus 10 + years experience OR PhD plus 5+ years of industry experience with a track record of delivering cutting edge innovation in the field. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $189,800 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
