Apple’s Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a graphics engineer who wants to meaningfully impact the wellness of our users through cutting-edge applications for our next-generation interactive computing platforms. Imagine yourself building fundamental applications on top of Apple’s most advanced technologies, while developing your expertise in Spatial Computing. As a core member of our team, you will work closely with organizations across Apple (Human Interface, Frameworks, etc.) to design, architect, and implement apps such as Mindfulness that will delight, inspire, and empower millions of users. We want you to be a part of our mission. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Good programming skills and knowledge of C++, and Objective C or Swift Extensive experience with at least one of the graphics APIs (Metal, OpenGL, Direct3D, Console, etc.) Experience with Shader Languages (HLSL/GLSL, Metal Shaders) and writing custom shaders 3D math skills (linear algebra) Ability to collaborate with a content creation team to improve visual fidelity and runtime efficiency of 3D assets Proficiency with new and existing rendering techniques to create efficient and stunning industry defining visuals Description Description Apple creates amazing user experiences with the newest technologies. We work closely with Apple's Human Interface design team to define the next generation of computing. The candidate for this role will be comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment. You will need a keen understanding of 3D applications, the graphics pipeline and an ambition to explore a new world of uncharted possibilities. You will work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to create groundbreaking new applications. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $198,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
