The GPU Silicon Validation Team is responsible for validating the functional operation, electrical behavior, power, and performance of Apple's embedded GPUs. Team members are involved in test planning, test execution, data analysis, failure triage, and tool development. We work hand-in-hand with the design, verification, productization, hardware and software teams to enable world-class GPUs in the embedded space. In this role, you will be responsible for the GPU power and performance validation, including power estimation features. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications We are looking for candidates with 3 years of experience in system-based silicon validation, including: Experience with system and SoC architectures. Experience with device physics and transistor behavior. Experience reading schematics. Proficient in C/C++ and one or more of the following scripting languages: python, TCL/expect, or similar. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with lab equipment. Ability to work well on a team, take responsibility, and motivate self and others. Experience debugging hardware and software issues in an embedded system. Experience with performance monitor features a strong plus. Experience with power measurements a strong plus. Description Description • Configure system HW and SW for silicon validation. • Execute and communicate plans to perform performance and power measurements; lead any debug efforts required. • Lead fail triage and debug of underlying embedded GPU issues. • Learn and support all GPU silicon validation tasks as needed. • Develop, maintain, and improve automation tools for validation and debug. • Identify and drive improvements in silicon-based power and performance methodology and tools.
