The Core AV Quality Engineering team is responsible for validating display technologies, consisting of built-in and external display support, including HDMI and DisplayPort across all Apple product families. This is a highly entrepreneurial team, always looking for innovative ways to improve status quo and solve difficult problems in new and better ways.
We are looking for someone who can lead the charge on quality of various AV technologies. Successful candidate will need to work with cross-functional teams across Apple to proactively develop and drive overall test planning, execution and quality reporting for various areas of responsibility. The nature of the position requires the candidate to possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, along with a drive to make a difference. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, creative, motivated, and results driven. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years of experience with system hardware or software validation, some of which has been in a team lead position Ability to create and manage complex test plans. Programming experience with C, Python and Shell scripting Experience with test automation and testing at scale Proven ability to ramp up quickly on both new and existing standards based technologies Excellent communication and team work skills Description Description As the manager of the Core AV Quality Engineering team you will recruit and lead quality/test Engineers who design, deploy and maintain automated test environments used in testing AV technologies. You will help define validation strategies and create detailed test plans for validating software to support Apple display technologies, overseeing the execution of these test plans and the analysis of results. The role will require you to work closely with cross functional development and quality teams, building strong relationships with other teams in CoreOS, Graphics, GPU and Displays Software, and Product Integrity. Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Familiarity with Display Technologies such as DisplayPort or HDMI Knowledge of Embedded Systems and OS concepts Experience using Protocol Analyzers is an asset Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400 and $316,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
