Apple is looking for a creative and dedicated display module integration engineer to help define and deliver new display technologies for Apple’s next gen products. A successful candidate will not only need to demonstrate world-class technical skills, but also excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with various Apple internal multi-functional teams and external suppliers. In this role, you will help define the path to integrate key display technologies and drive the display module development, in collaboration with multi-functional partners, from prototype to mass production. This position gives you high-visibility to key HW and display features needed to deliver world-class front-of-screen experience for Apple’s next gen products. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas: LED (LED module, µLED); module requirement definition, design and integration; display/system architecture; optical characterization, colorimetry; display testing and calibration; optical and numerical modeling Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: Development of display technologies from concept phase to MP; vendor management and multi-functional collaboration; display technologies (DLP, LCOS µOLED); data acquisition and automation using test equipment; software/algorithm development, programming (Python, C++, Matlab); image/signal processing, display pipeline Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong communication and leadership skills Description Description - Define display module requirements, prototype and validation strategies - Support daily activities for build execution, bring up, build data analysis, module FA and system integration - Drive technical discussions with vendors and internal multi-functional teams - Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define display module test and calibration requirements - Promote innovation and new technology to improve Apple’s display performance and user experience - Develop prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions and conduct detailed tradeoff analysis - Effectively communicate the advantages, disadvantages and risks to the broader team Education & Experience Education & Experience - M.S. or Ph.D. in Optics, EECS, Physics or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in related field Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
