The Camera Technologies & Systems team in Camera & Photos org delivers amazing quality photos and videos by combining state of the art computer vision, image processing, and machine learning. As an senior algorithm engineer on our team you’ll research and develop novel machine learning techniques for image enhancement and restoration, and build new great camera capabilities across Apple products. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years experience in developing machine learning algorithms for tackling various computer vision and image processing problems Extensive knowledge in camera processing pipeline, computer vision, and computational photography techniques Experience with deep learning techniques for image/video enhancement and restoration (denoising/inpainting/super-resolution/demosaicing), segmentation, saliency, and object detection Strong coding skills in Python and C/C++ Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to collaborate and build productive cross-functional relationships Description Description If you consider yourself an engaging and highly-collaborative engineer with excellent communication skills, and are comfortable in a dynamic environment, we have a rewarding opportunity for you. We’re looking for a strong senior algorithm engineer to identify and apply machine leaning technologies for solving specific camera applications. In this role, you will develop and train deep learning algorithms, and work closely with GPU optimization and frameworks teams on productizing developed camera features. Education & Experience Education & Experience MS or PhD degree in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computational Photography, or related fields. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements One or more of the following would be a plus: Familiarity with multiple-camera systems. Experience with performance optimization. Familiarity with feature development on embedded devices. Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
