Product Design Engineer

Summary Posted: Jun 22, 2023 Role Number: 200487797 As a member of the Product Design Engineering team in the SPG group at Apple, you will help conceive, design, and bring to production component solutions for highly integrated products. You will work closely with inter-disciplinary teams including Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Reliability, Marketing, Materials, and Manufacturing Design Teams. You will interface extensively with these Apple teams and also collaborate with external partners to develop novel solutions for the next groundbreaking Apple product. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience in structural and mechanical design Understanding of kinematics principles desired Strong analytical/problem solving skills and general mechanical engineering analysis Strong materials knowledge. Good understanding of different materials and grades Requires demonstrated ability in detailed part design for a variety of materials (plastic, metal, joining, multi-material, etc.) and functions (structural, cosmetic, dynamic etc.) Working knowledge of finite element analysis theory and ability to use statistical tools and techniques to predict behavior in various scenarios Flexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environment 3-D CAD skills Description Description You will help create solutions for the next groundbreaking product at Apple. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
