The Vision Products Group (VPG is looking for a Software Development Engineer to help us push the limits of the next generation of interactive experiences on our platform. This team is working with some of Apple’s most advanced technologies including spatial computing, augmented reality (AR), ARKit and Metal 2, to create ground-breaking new products. You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes at the state-of-the-art of technology to find the best experiences for our products. You are comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment. Engineers will work quickly and smartly to help determine the viability of ideas and technologies. You will need a keen understanding of 3D applications and an ambition to explore a new world of uncharted possibilities. You will work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to define and prove new application concepts and UX paradigms. Education & Experience Education & Experience BS / MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree and at least 3 years of experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements - Background in 3D rendering is a plus - Deep experience with at least one of Apple’s Rendering Frameworks (Core Animation, Core Graphics, Core Text, etc) Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
