The Vision Pro System Applications team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build essential applications for visionOS, our new spatial computing platform. Join our team and help us craft the next generation of System Applications and experiences for Apple Vision Pro such as Setup Assistant and Settings. As a core member of our team, you will build or expand your expertise in Apple's app development and spatial computing technologies, while working closely with organizations across our company (Human Interface, Frameworks, etc.) to design, architect, and implement apps that will delight, inspire, and empower users of Apple Vision Pro. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Extensive track record (4+ years) of building and shipping complex and delightful applications or user-facing systems in one of the following domains: Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS). Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality platforms. Interactive 3D applications or games (mobile/consoles/etc.). Deep knowledge of at least one of the following: Apple development technologies (Swift, SwiftUI, ObjC, UIKit, and associated frameworks and tools) or 3d / graphics technologies / game engines Extensive experience in modern software engineering practices (Object-oriented programming, functional programming, declarative user interfaces, test driven-development, etc). Detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, planning, execution, and maintenance of software. Strong Computer Science fundamentals. Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate successfully with peers from diverse experiences and backgrounds. Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced and agile organization. The ideal senior engineer for this role brings to bear proven expertise in shipping high-quality apps to customers. Familiarity with 3D graphics APIs, shader programming, or game engines (C, C++, Metal, DirectX, Vulcan, etc.) Familiarity with AR technologies. 3D math/linear algebra fundamentals. Experience in prototyping of user-facing features and working with designers. Experience in managing/leading/mentoring engineering teams. Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $153,200 and $270,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
