You will use your electrical, firmware, and software backgrounds to architect and implement complex next-generation display technologies that have direct and highly visible customer impact. In this interdisciplinary role, you will be collaborating with display architecture, system architecture, silicon architecture, graphics software, OS teams, and more. You will also engage with internal customer experience partners and the Pro Workflow team to better understand and serve customer requirements. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, math, and analytical skills Proficient in software (examples: AppKit/UIKit, Swift, Objective-C), script development (example: Python), and firmware (examples: C, C++) Prior complex system, firmware/software, or custom silicon design experience Excellent written skills for developing specifications, proposing solutions, and reporting data in a clear and concise way Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to ‘speak the languages’ of hardware, software, firmware, and the customer A passion for delivering world-class display features to our customers Description Description -Leads development of complex display features spanning hardware, firmware, and software - Performs detailed engineering analysis and design in interdisciplinary teams to bridge the gap between theory and implementation - Investigates and drives new display technologies through independent research, prototyping, modeling, and demos - Authors high-quality and thorough engineering requirements and specifications for cross-functional teams - Supports design implementations and prototypes at the hardware, firmware, and software levels as well as in the factory - Defines performance metrics and requirements considering power, performance, and human perception - Envisions novel ideas, concepts, and applications that will propel our displays to new levels of quality and performance - Conceptualizes, builds, and runs demos of new display technologies and features - Have a passion for applying their unique technical skills to improving the customer experience Education & Experience Education & Experience MS / PhD 5 or more years of relevant work experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
