The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of core web technologies, a solid understanding of how web browsers work, programming expertise, and proficiency with web developer tools for various browsers. We are a team that conceptualizes, iterates, and executes new features on an ongoing basis. This group is one of the few generalist teams in Maps that doesn’t require deep domain expertise in an area of mapping! Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years experience with testing large scale web applications, along with analytical thinking to build clear, concise, and comprehensive test scenarios and test plans Excellent problem-solving and analytics skills, with the ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems both independently and cooperatively. Practical experience with Web technologies, such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript, JavaScript test frameworks (e.g. MochaJS, Cypress, Playwright), Chai, Node.js Knowledge of software development tools like svn, git, bash, make, and Xcode. Familiarity with containerization environment (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environment (AWS or GCP). Strong Automation skills and CI/CD pipeline experience Experience in Agile software development methodologies/Scrum and rapid releases. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Description Description This role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities which includes enhancing current testing infrastructure and validating builds and deployments for maps on web releases. We work closely with the development team to design and implement new tools in order to continuously improve both the quality of the product and the processes of the team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking initiative and is comfortable working with cross functional teams. The person filling this position must be a proactive, self-motivated test developer with great communication skills and a desire to succeed in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
